In business since 1990, Northeast Shelters, is a family run company located in the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York. We provide our customers with affordable, portable shelters, greenhouses, garages and much more. We are a custom manufacturer and we build to suit the customers needs. Our shelters are made to with stand moderate wind and snow loads, when properly anchored and maintained. Northeast Shelters uses the best manufacturers in today's market to make covers that are strong and durable. Northeast Shelters framework consists of Galvanized Structural Steel Pipe placed approximately 4' on center. (can vary to customers request) We offer Gale Style units with a 'V' crest top or Quonset Style Units with a rounded crest top. Our frames have an exclusive "pipe-in-pipe" construction to reinforce weak areas. Our manufacturers use seat belt material and #4 brass spur grommets in our tarps for additional strength (optional). Both the Standard Polymer and the Premium Vinyl fabrics have a limited 1-2 year warranty, which is held by the Manufacturer. The covers are waterproof, mold and mildew resistant, ultra-violet resistant, and chemical resistant. The Standard Polymer lasts up to 10 years and contains a poly rip-stop. The Vinyl lasts up to 20 years, has a nylon rip-stop, and is also fire retardant. The Standard Semi-Clear Greenhouse fabric lasts up to 7 years and the Frosty-Clear Greenhouse fabric lasts up to 12 years. Both have rip-stop. All of our units come with a main cover, and your choice of 2 or 3 zipper doors (depending on size) and a solid back panel. (Additional doors optional) The heavy-duty zippers are designed for easy opening while inside or outside the building. NES recommends the Vinyl fabric for larger units due to its superior strength. We also recommend that our customers carefully measure all items that are being stored in the unit and when measuring vehicles and such, please include air conditioning units, bar lights, boat trailers, hitches etc.
*All wind and snow loads are subject to the structure being properly anchored, maintained, and not weakened by previous damage or neglect. Certain weather conditions may cause snow to remain on the structure. Snow must be removed from the top of shelters & sides to avoid excess build-up. PLEASE NOTE: All units are built to the customers' specifications. |
